Over 7K!

Thank you~~~! I just realized I have over 7K views! Makes me feel so mean to have neglected my blog for so long. I suppose I have been busy, but then I don't know, sometimes you just don't endup writing for so long and you just loose the habit. I actually took many pictures in order to write some post, and they just never ended up being posted at all.

Fall season! Halloween already over, now Christmas coming soon. Work is keeping me busy, bf is keeping me busy and enjoying nice coffee/restaurant/drinking time with the Bordeleau sister keeps me happy. Time is getting colder though so I bought quite a lot of new outfits and coats. I'll try to upload pictures of my new friends here whenever I take my lazy ass near my computer.
Bought this awesome strawberry cup and plate for $1 at La Ressourcerie Bernard-Hamel
Love them, those times you walk in there and you find an unexpected treasure.

I went to Montreal for Halloween, as planned a few months ago, and ended up staying much longer than I planned. See, I actually have a defect in my auditory nerve, on the left ear, resulting in my hearing being much much hindered (put both of your finger on your ears, press hard, then have someone talk to you: that's about what I can hear from my left hear). So yes, I went from a doctor to another, doing test, getting samples and they still can't find the problem. At this point, sadly, I think it can't be helped: at least we still might find a way to make sure my other ear doesn't get the same, and prevent the right one to get worse.

In my trip to Montreal I got to go shopping <3, eat delicious food, try the new Karaoke bar La bouche (not so new I know, but I still hadn't gotten to go up to now so whatever). I'll try to upload pictures, but basically I bought shoes and pants: yes pants. Up to last winter I had only one pair of white jeans. I never wear pants. MC got me to like pants when she made me try hers: I then realized that you can look very nice in pants, provided that they are skinny enough and fit you well.

Halloween Clubbing with Lala and Melissa <3
Few pictures of awesome shoes: Red ones from Semy, a store on St-Hubert, selling imported shoes from Italy, all of awesome quality and fit for a wedding ($350),  Shiny ones from Boulet, still on St-Hubert, where all the shoes are $30, and at the back of the store they own awesome quality Cowboy boots - around $250 - in amazing colors and all in really good quality leather. I will go buy a pair next time I go: this time I had no more room in my bag. The beige ones were around $40, bought also on St-Hubert, I cannot remember the name, but St-Hubert has tons of shoe stores, just walking around, one is bound to find awesomeness: just need to keep the eyes open.

Went by Holt & Renfrew to buy new concealer at Bobbi Brown and ended up buying a case of brushes! My very first case ($125). I really love to use different brushes to put on make up, not only because the result is much nicer, but also because the feel of the brushes on the skin is really nice. much nicer anyways than cheap pharmacy brushes.

New nails~~~ I sort of stopped doing my own nails for a while, since working as a waitress sort of makes me worry that my polish will chip and fall in the food of the customers. Instead I decided to try the Vietnamese store in my hometown that do UVGel nails, for a result that holds much longer.
When I got those done, bf said they looked like I had my nails dirty. Mean mean bf. The second one, MC qualifies it as a "Care Bear" nail polish. Oh well, can't please everybody.

When I went to Japan I bought a make your own bead accessories thingy to see if I liked to do it. The result was okay, and I bought more on Internet, through a Japanese friend (they only ship in Japan). Last week I finished this awesome bear in dress, and now I feel so awesome I feel like no beads pattern is too difficult for me muhahahaha.

The fact that you can do those in parts, and that you see the result quite fast makes it funnier to make that, say for example cross-stitches, of which I haven't kept doing since I moved from Montreal. Mean mean mean me.

Gave this one to darling Rock-See for her BD a few days ago <3

My parents went to Cuba for a Velo trip, lucky ones, so we went cooking at my place (no fear of disturbing anyone) and in the end bf never even let my touch the pans: I just ate. What can I do, he is Mr. picky and can back it up by being an excellent cook.

Random Picture of me because, why not?

Picture fun and nails

Félixe, my niece, isn't she the most adorable thing you ever saw? <3
Omg I just got a new iPhone app called, wait for it, Princess Cam, which has a fairly similar way to make pictures look like japanese sticker pictures, Purikura (japanese photobooth of which the word consist of the shortening of the words 'print club' - purinto kurabu). I can basically do with my pictures whar the old purikura machines used to do in the late 1990. Still, when the picture quality is good enough (good light and no pixelisation), they can look pretty awesome.

So yesterday, when I was waiting home for my new laptop (next blog will be on that I think), I had fun with pictures of my niece and of myself, that came out quite interestingly...

Since I hurt my arm quite bacly the other week - got 5 stitches in my right arm, making me unable to do most useful thing properly, washing my hair and myself for one; working, for another, I ended up doing one of the only thing I could still do: paint nails. So I did my niece's, who got completely addicted to nail polishes, being uberly seduced by the idea that she can be a real princess by having nice shiny nails. Cute little thing, she is so demanding though, I can never make normal nails for her... she can stand with a straight back and unmoving hands on the table for over an hour whenI make those however, which is IMO quite amazing for such a lively 3 year old energetic princess....

So thing is, I got jealous of her nails, so I did myself the same. Mine being quite bigger, do not have as much cuteness, but I do what I can :)

This is the material I used:
1. base coat to protect my nails,
2. pink Essie color base
3. Grapefruit smelling pink glitter Revelon polish
4. white dots, and green leaves
5. Transluscent top coat for finish

Okay this one is a bit over the top... ha ha... but wait, there is worse....

There were make up options on that iPhone app, so I added contact lense colors as well as fake lashes...intense XD

New wallpaper!

I was looking for a facebook banner to put on the new facebook timeline, and what did I not fall upon? I found on a website, a super good quality picture of the wallpaper I put in my bedroom! It was too good to be true! So here I am, with a new nice looking wallpaper.

Teh eh <3

I made many attempts making nice looking nails lately, and failed miserably. Once, I made something that looked like some frog warts nails. The thing is, I realized lately that shining utensils at work - with a cloth wet with vinegar - pretty much fucked up my nails pretty bad, so I really wanted to do some nice looking nail art so it would somehow protect them. Having a few days off in a row last weekend, I took some time to do these, going step by step.

The first day I put a layer of protector polish,
The second day I put some flowers and transparent polish,
The third day I put another layer of transparent polish,
The fourth day I added the shiny tips plus transparent polish,
And finally, today I aded a last transparent polish layer.

Now I just hope they will hold for a few more days, so I don't have to crush my brain, trying to find a new pattern to do new nails...

Anyways, don't you think I should have gotten a pink or a white stone for my graduation ring instead of my birthstone? I feel like the dark purple of my birthstone sucks, I keep on having it everywhere, without matching my style in any way... so lame.

I had been looking for a case or any kind of box to put my nail art stuff this past few weeks without much success, so I was quite surprised to find a decent one for a cheap price right in Geant Tiger, where we often go my mother and I, so find random stuff when the other stores are closed. I originally wanted to put my nail polish into it, but most of the nail polish handle/brushes I have were actually too tall to fit in vertical position - any other making the result looking quite messy - so I put all my decodens in it instead. Still, as both my decoden and nail polish material were put messily in different cookie boxes - you know, the metal cookie boxes they sell at Christmas time, that have different shapes and filling, but somehow all taste the same? yes, those ones - I feel I made a good bought. Now I just need to find something a tad higher to put away my polish stuff... oh well.

Playmobil, Oh Dear Childhood Friend....

Bling Princess

Bling Princess - Backview

Flower Princess

Flower Princess Backview

My friend gave me a Surprise Playmobil bag for Christmas! <3 I was lucky enough to get the prettiest princess one. I feel so blessed. ha ha ha, since I could have gotten pretty much anything in all the weird stuff they had. The gift I recieved from my friend is actually the second one, the "Flower Princess" as I call her. She is the one I made by following the model of the bag. Later on that day, others of my friends were jealous of my awesome gift, so she went to the store and brought back some more for everyone.
We were with a guy friend who picked out the exact same princess, and was quite sad about it so I swapped it with my new one: a redhead holding a stereo... I feel like we both got lucky out of that swapping. I personally figured that having two princesses would look much better in my bedroom than having a redhead punk with her stereo.... I decided to decorate the second princess otherwise however, since it would have been too boring. I personally like my creation better teh he :3

I went to the pharmacy today and bought some make-up brushes and highlights, plus nail polish items. My nails have been in bad shape for the past few months, which is the first time it happens to me - and to my mother as well, oddly, so I guess it's one of my new polish that we might both have used, that was of bad quality. Thus, I decided to get a base coat to try to put both our nails in shape. I also got one of those crackling color. Never figured out if I liked or not, so I finally decided to get one and try it. Why not anyways?

There is a brand store that is closing, for the owner is going to a formation in Paris and will be in all sorts of important fashion programs and TV shows, so she's leaving for good. Good for her too. But I'll be sad her store'll be gone. At least for now I get big discounts on her stuff :3

Silk and Cashemere Lacoste shirt $97.50

BB Dakota Cashemere and whool large sweater $90

Eve Gravel dress (looks awesome when worn) - $79

This was another gift from my friend who gave me the playmobil doll: cute bow <3

Halloween and Snow!!!

It was Halloween last weekend!!! While I did not party or anything, I modified stuff I had at home to make a Maid costume of which the colors would match the restaurant I work in, so I can use it at work. I finished it last Thursday, and wore it Friday in my day shift <3 It was really pretty!!!

Ostrich feather duster and maid apron
<3 right before going to work!!!
As the evening is more of a serious time for dinner and this is a French cuisine restaurant, my boss did not want me to dress up for Halloween in the night shift, but I used the black skirt and my silk shirt and put a bow on my neck to give it <3 <3 <3 <3 an old style school teacher look, as I was being the hostess for the busy Friday <3 <3 <3 <3

It is funny because on Friday morning I took a picture of the Fall backyard and it looked like this...

... and when I left for night shift, it looked like that. We had our first snow in the afternoon!

I tried doing lace patterns on my nails yesterday. I think I ended up with a pretty good result in the end and I am quite happy about it. I love frills and laces. I could wear them all year long...

Félixe and her First Nail Polish Session

This week we babysat my little niece for a couple of days, so the house was quite lively and sweet. She had a bad cold and was quite zombie-like the first two days, but the rest she made sure we existed only for her sake. She is adorable though, so I do not resent her attitude - especially since in the end, I was not the one who needed to care for her that much, but just enjoy the good parts. I took the time to do her nails once though, one afternoon: she stayed still for at least 45 minutes, while I made her "princess nails" She was really pretty, even more because she knew she was <3

Félixe's First Princess Nail polish!
I am taking advantage of the fact she is still young to post her picture; later on I will need to ask for her permission...<3
Isn't she adorable? Snow White was never this pretty

My dad and Félixe, reading "Bambi, lost and found" with much interest...

Nailart

Today at work we had shortcake for dessert! I felt like I had way too much sweet stuff lately so I did not try it but it looked amazing!!! I love shortcake. I love strawberries.

I also did my nails today. It's been way too long since I did take the time to, so I both did my hands and feet, trying the new polish pen I bought last time I went to Montreal. I like the result, even if to be honest I did have a lot of trouble and am not completely satisfied with the result of the one on my left thumb. They always are trouble, stuffs painted on the good hand....

September Summer Day

Today is such a nice day! I went for ice cream with Guri and the daughter of her AFS advisor. By the way, the organism through which Guri has come visit Canada is called AFS (American Field Service) and it is an organisation that started in one of the World War and came from the idea of two firefighter - american and french - that talked about culture differences and wanted to believe that the key to avoid other wars was to understand the difference in every culture and embrace them. They thus started organizing student exchanges between europe and the States at first, and then expanded to other countries to what it is today. Is it with AFS that I first went to Japan for my 11 months student exchange in 2005.

The day was warm and icecream was soothing. We should have a Yeh! here thought. That would be so good. I miss Montreal's Yeh! and its Rolopan. Today it was 27 degrees! After the cold week we have had this weather was more than welcome, though I had put on tights and a warm acrylic sweater to go out so I was a bit overheated TT__TT Anyways! The day was really humid and a few minutes ago the sky gor very dark: I suppose there is going to be heavy rain that lowers down the temperature very soon. I took nice pictures while I was outside however, and the light came out really nicely.

I love the red of the small canoe mixed with the green of my backyard,
it's a small heaven that I really miss when I am away from my parent's <3

Are you sick of seeing the same flowers over and over again? I am not. So better get used to it.

We planted strawberries a couple of years ago my mother and I, but never ended up getting results. This year, however we do have a couple of cute strawberries that appear now and then. Today there were two of them that were ready, and maybe 4 or 5 that were still half, or all white. I can't wait to eat them later <3

Strawberries and Chocolate <3
Small Strawberries

Oh, as you can see, I also tried my new nail paint pens and made cute strawberry patterns. I wanted to tone down the yellow a bit so I put a light shiny transparent green color on top of it, but I regretted: I should have put it before making the strawberries, now they are a bit too unclear and lack detail. I will try to do better next time.
